Bride and groom Suganiya and Brahan married in full traditional Sri Lankan Hindu wedding style in early September this year. Haran of Haran Photography traveled from his base in Wellington, New Zealand, to Melbourne to photograph the event. He says it was the longest wedding he's ever photographed (two days), but it was also his most favoured. Kayla and I married last December out in the notoriously wet Waitakere Ranges, at a venue called Cassels. You can read more about the day here. The day before, bad weather was forecast. Not good. So I met up with our photographer Johannes van Kan to discuss our options. What made this wedding extra special for US photographer Andy Donnan was that it was the wedding of his grandmother - aged 83. Ruth and Jerry wanted to keep things simple and low-key, and other than the Pastor, Andy and his girlfriend were the only guests present. Andy says, "My grandmother raised me since I was a baby. UK photographer Simon Whitten of Firehorse Photography shot Emma and Ben's wedding in the heart of winter on 9 January, 2010. Simon says, "This was my fourth wedding in a row this winter with snow on the ground, but it didn't stop us spending 20 minutes shooting the couple in the ruins of the neighbouring Bolton Priory... complete with Emma's grandmother's fur coat."
