It seems a long way from Brian Dorsey's TriBeCa studio to a pumpkin field in New Jersey, but then his clients have commissioned him for events everywhere from Anguilla to Acapulco, and Quebec to Rio. What caught our eye about this very striking album was how Brian had reflected his client's tastes in it. Cindy and Eric were married in October, and the bride's favourite colour is orange – so think Halloween and harvest time, pumpkins, trees changing colour with the Fall... and all matched harmoniously with the striking autumnal cover image, the matching leather binding, the chocolate-on-ivory To View More >>

It was an unusual celebration indeed when Hiro Sekine and Vino Mahalingam married on 14th October 2007 at Claridge's, one of London's most celebrated and glamorous hotels. Bride and groom Suganiya and Brahan married in full traditional Sri Lankan Hindu wedding style in early September this year. Haran of Haran Photography traveled from his base in Wellington, New Zealand, to Melbourne to photograph the event. He says it was the longest wedding he's ever photographed (two days), but it was also his most favoured. A day full of colours, meaningful religious rituals, and decorative features made for some stunning images, and a beautiful album... Much of the new functionality is behind the scenes (eg built-in colour management to convert the exported layouts to the printer colour space) but Danny concentrates on the process, especially how to specify the books and design the covers. We talked about it and came to the conclusion that we were getting what we were paying for. We want to give our clients the best we can deliver. This means many things, not the least of which is getting them the best albums we can. We could reduce our personal costs by using less expensive covers, mounting systems, and not getting the full colour service, BUT would the outcome still fit into the requirement of giving our To View More >>
