The competition was a great success with more than double the entries of 2017, and over sixty countries represented. Spring Smith lives in the mountains of Maine in north east New England, USA, and her location impacts both her photography and the events she covers. “We don’t have many ballrooms, so most of my images are taken outside, and when we are inside typically it’s a large barn or a tent.” She thinks living in a rural area makes for a slightly more relaxed atmosphere. Three months was all Juliane and Chris needed to put together their beautiful DIY wedding. They rented a lovely house for the weekend in Austin, Texas where a small intimate ceremony took place. Their photographer Sarah Jaine Photography describes the day as “Beautiful, unique and truly representative of how I know them to be.” Their album starts with a translucent title page I just love the ceremony shots - Chris and Juliane are glowing.
