Emma Hughes designed these beautiful wedding albums for Maya & Will. The bride and groom chose a gorgeous 14x10 album with a leather 1/4 page photo front. The photograph is printed on a metallic paper with a textured laminate applied which seals the image and makes it especially hard-wearing as a cover option. Maya liked a white page design and Will preferred the black page designs, so the album was created with alternating black and white pages. Rather than getting a replica of Maya and Will’s feature album, their parents decided instead to choose a 10×7″ matted album, custom designed To View More >>
We're constantly reinventing Queensberry to make things better, simpler, faster and more creative. In the mid-1990s we threw away the rule book and started making our albums to order. Computer-driven mat-cutters meant our clients could design books to suit their photography, rather than making their photographs fit the books. It had never been done before. In 2000 we cut out the middle-man and began developing the world’s only worldwide door-to-door service to professional photographers. In 2001 we released Photojunction. I got a few pats on the back for my "check your files" post. Chris Meiklejohn, our lab manager, liked it so much that she wanted a sequel. In fact she wrote one! The funny thing was my team mates had already got me one started on a follow-up, and the things on Chris' list were pretty much the same as ours. So, drum roll… (If you like this, I wrote it. Otherwise, it's Chris!) 8 ways to better print files Would you love to have your albums arrive on your doorstep faster, hassle-free, and beautifully printed? You put a lot of work into them, so they might as well be perfect. We definitely want To View More >>
You created the perfect album. Except the size is wrong. Your clients have changed their mind. They still love the layout, but they want a different book. It isn't the ideal situation. It's actually why I prefer consulting the couple BEFORE laying out their book. Design for what they definitely want versus what you hope they will want. But alas, you're here. Stuck with the wrong size album. Thank goodness Photojunction auto-saves your albums as templates. You've just saved a ton of time! Just create a new album in the correct size (click the "+" button next to Products in the Event Window), add To View More >>
A thoughtful approach to designing and selling albums from Pennsylvania-based Angelique, of our support team. - Ed. There seem to be two primary approaches to album sales, three if you include not bothering (let's not go there). The first approach, popular recently, is Pre-Design. Design the be-all, end-all of albums before your clients even see their images and you'll make a fortune! How could they possibly say no to a 60 side gorgeous 10x18 Duo masterpiece once they see it? Well…because what you included in their contact was a 10x10 flush mount album with 20 sides. That hardly seems fair. To View More >>
