Good design is a big part of the Queensberry way, so may we introduce Anna Matsuoka, one of our product designers. Anna M grew up in the beautiful historic city of Kamakura in Tokyo, which maybe explains her very strong focus on materials and the preservation of history. She studied curatorial and fine arts at the Tama Art University in Japan. Issey Miyake studied at the same university, which has a strong emphasis on the art of choosing and working with materials. We've just spent a great Monday afternoon browsing through the submissions for our Bragging Rights campaign, which closed last Friday. Thank you to everyone who participated! We had a terrific response from friends old and new. Plenty of weddings of course, but also engagement shoots, family portraits, maternity, pets, you name it. Different countries, cultures, locations and styles. So that was inspiring, but now comes the hard part – choosing! Jo de Banzie photographed this series entitled 'Dreamers' for internationally renowned jewellery designer Sophie Harley. "Mixing and layering precious metals and stones, Sophie’s pieces are magical - full of stories and secrets. We created ethereal images to communicate these qualities" says Jo, "and all the images were shot on location in London (yes, all of it shot in London!)".
