The White Bull - it's that empty page that stares at you intimidatingly - and most creative people have come across it more than they’d like. When I first started designing albums, I would sometimes sit at my computer staring at a blank layout or clicking and fussing, swapping this and that only to decide that the layout actually looked better the way it was! Creative energy needs to be used wisely, so if you agree that album design can be time consuming - and occasionally an absolute pain in the butt! - here's a little about Queensberry's design service, so you can get back to what you’re really good at - taking amazing pictures. Once you have chosen the album you want in Photojunction, selected and sorted the images, chosen a design style, and any other details - we do the rest. We design the album layouts and, once you've approved the design, print and bind the album. The design service is based on three main layout styles: Q1 - for simple, classically elegant layouts - ideal with all album types. Q2 - for dynamic and contemporary layouts with a bit more use of asymmetry - great for Duo’s and Digital albums. Q3 - for more decorative features - ideal for Digital albums where you can make appropriate use of borders around images, opaque background images or colour blocks. We then work within that style to make the most of your images and your own particular preferences. For example some photographers like to use a lot of white space with smaller and more intimate images, while others prefer larger images with perhaps just two or three apertures to a layout. We save your design preferences on file so we can follow them with every album order you send us. Easy. Another benefit of the design service is that we know our products inside out - we know what is going to work structurally and visually and have the skills to bring together the story of the day with the images you have captured. I'm sure some of you (like Johannes) actually really love designing albums - but if not - save your creativity for your camera. Cheers, Anna

Hi Anna, could you please offer an online example of Q1, Q2 and Q3 layouts as in actual overall look. I know each page can be designed differently, however it's difficult to visualize and I can't seem to find any examples online :) Regards, Chris
