Here's why our New Year's resolution is to get on Facebook. Besides being a long time Queensberry client, Australian photographer Greg Mace is a friend and all-round good guy ... and we're not the only ones who think so. To prove that all you have to do is click on Greg's new Facebook page. Better yet, friend him and click "Just Fans". In June '09 6.1m Australians (out of 21m) visited Facebook. In fact three out of four Aussies visited a social networking site of some sort. Same here in New Zealand: almost a quarter of us have used Facebook. Those are big numbers, and of course once people start To View More >>
Let me tell you a story about why we're in the album business, why we believe in brand building, and why you should too. Don't tell anyone but you're looking at two early Queensberries from the days when albums weren't everything we do. As always, Seth's post is well worth the read. He makes the point that everyone has a choice: get together the "guts and resources" too do what you were born to do, or spend your time To View More >>
It's not until you see the images of your wedding that you realise how incredibly important they are. That's how I felt when I looked at my wedding photos for the first time. I cried! - they were just so much more than what I'd expected, and each one holds a moment of absolute goodness. I'd say it's the same with an album - it's not until you see a book so carefully crafted to document your day that you realise how important this object is that holds these memories. That's what I have in mind when I'm laying out the images for a Musée. Every shot is incredibly special and chosen because the story To View More >>
