It’s no wonder Luke and Chantal’s wedding album caught our attention. For starters, there were three albums, not one, and the first two featured the most amazing celebrations at a fabulous location. We certainly did “wish we were there”. Luke and Chantal were married in April 2007 in Mauritius, East Africa. Chantal had wanted to have her wedding at The One and Only, Mauritius since she was a little girl and spent time there with her family. The festivities lasted five days and included a welcoming cocktail hour, beach Olympics, a salsa party (featuring Emilio Estevez and his salsa dancers) To View More >>

While talking to photographers in the UK, I realised that what I really wanted to get across, was a simple but important message. The album is for the clients. Our part is to gather collateral and write a story for them. Here's the tip: Step back from the design and pause deliberately... Then start  with the idea that this album is not a showpiece for you, the photographer, but is a story for the bride and groom. Pre-wedding engagement shoots are fairly common these days - but Lauren and Josh asked their wedding photographers Michelle and TJ Getz of Getzcreative to go one step further and take some post-wedding photos too. TJ says, "These post-wedding 'Creative Sessions' allow us to offer a distinctive and creative photography session without the pressures of the wedding day." At the end of their session, TJ took some intimate shots in the bedroom which Josh, To View More >>

Here's an wedding album to whet your appetite. Literally. It's not often we see a wedding themed as heavily as Cindy and Eric's. They went to exceptional lengths to incorporate Cindy's love of sweets and the colour orange into their special day. Their photographer Brian Dorsey reflected those tastes in this beautiful album. Chocolate coloured pages of course. Cindy's favourite colour is orange – so think Halloween and harvest time, pumpkins and trees changing colour with the Fall.  The striking autumnal colours matched harmoniously with their brown and orange colour scheme. The wedding also To View More >>

For most artists, the real value of their work isn't recognized until they're gone. Elvis's estate is worth far more than it was in his heyday. The works of Da Vinci, Picasso and Van Gogh are now worth hundreds of millions of dollars. We still enjoy Humphrey Bogart movies. They're still making movies about Ian Fleming's Bond character. And of course, Michael Jackson has left a legacy of work that will continue to grow in recognition and popularity. You're an artist. How will your work be remembered and valued? Not just by the people you created it for, but by their descendants? That's something To View More >>
