Hello to our USA friends!
A quick update to confirm that we intend to absorb the additional cost of the tariffs, to support our valued clients. We’re grateful for your business, and we want the relationship to continue long into the future!
I hesitated to provide an update earlier because the situation is still changing. In fact a 90-day pause on “reciprocal” tariffs has just been announced on all countries except China. However the situation as it affects us has not changed since the original announcement.
We have never taken sides in political matters. As small business owners we just do our best to make a living in this complicated world.
That doesn’t mean political events don’t impact us, and the reality is that this is going to hurt. With our government imposing no tariffs on US goods sold here, we do feel somewhat disadvantaged, but we're determined to stay focused on our post-covid recovery and rebuilding, and not allow this to interrupt it.
Our goal for many years has been to offer you great products and service. Right now, more than anything, that means continuing to honour our promise of great products delivered door to door — and for finished products, such as our albums, free of freight and customs charges.
Of course we will need to monitor the changing landscape, but for now it’s definitely business as usual.
