SEARCH RESULTS FOR: Budgeting

As I have just recently gotten married - yay! - I thought I’d write a bit about planning a wedding - a nice, decent, enjoyable wedding - on a budget. Photograph by Alexander Wallace For a little background, my husband Kurt is Dutch. Now the Dutch are said to be like the Scots - just with all the generosity squeezed out of them. And I myself am very cautious when it comes to money - but at the same time I’m a designer and I love beautiful things. Interesting question from Sergey on my Opportunities post. What do you do if people want this cool album that they've never seen before – but they want to postpone the purchase, maybe until their first anniversary. Here's what we think. If you were reading our blog last month you might have heard I didn't make the best decision when it came to picking my wedding photographer, and I have less than wonderful wedding pictures to show for it. If you missed the posts they were Lessons I learnt from planning my wedding and Why I cut my photography budget. As I mentioned previously however, my husband and I were fortunate to take part in a photo shoot with kiwi photographers A Couple of Night Owls. Though these pictures can never quite replace the missed moments on our wedding day, it is amazing to have such beautiful pictures of us To View More >>

Three weeks after first meeting, Hollie and Richard had chosen the ring. Nineteen months later, on 13 February 2010, they married. Binky Nixon photographed their UK wedding at St Mary the Virigin Stotfold church followed by a reception at Wrest Park, Silsoe. A traditional but personal affair. They're now expecting their first baby and have Binky lined up for a pregnancy shoot in a few months. This is their 14x10 Duo album . Enjoy...
