SEARCH RESULTS FOR: packaging
I have to say this. That leather is beautiful. Well I certainly think so. It's is part of our new contemporary range, specially made for us. Heather and I were lucky enough to visit the tannery in Europe last month and we were very impressed. So much individual attention to every hide, from the initial inspection and grading (by four very serious men) through to the final finishing processes and packaging. Not to mention their environmental commitment, and even the way they engaged personally with us. We visited our paper suppliers too. Same story. Great people, great product, high standards. Well I don't know about you, but we had a hell of a time finding a venue that had a date even remotely close to the one we wanted - and we were looking over a year in advance. Turns out corporates are booking their annual functions three or four years out, nabbing all the prime dates. We learned the importance of booking early the hard way, especially since we were planning a wedding in the peak summer season. We were after a venue that we felt cared about our wedding. So if we were shown around by a 20-something 'event planner' in high heels holding a clip-board who could only fit us in between To View More >>
When people contact us about their wedding, if they are doing a general search, they most often ask, 'How much to shoot our wedding?' So what are we selling? Are we selling a product at a price? Are we selling our ability to make great photographs? Are we selling our ability To View More >>
What is it that our clients are paying for? Photography? (But what does that mean) Entertainment? (Couldn't afford the clown for the party) Documentation? (Recording content for a historical document) Memories? (Least we forget) Glamorisation? (See, the bride can look glam with the right dress, makeup, hairdo, and some photoshop!) Impressionism? (To impress the neighbours) Fairytaleism? (Living the dream) Then you might ask, what are each of these worth in the final package? It would be an interesting exercise to give each a percentage value. And then think about those percentages, and ask yourself To View More >>
We asked one of our print consultants about their commitment to sustainability a few days ago, and they were rather puzzled by the question. "But of course," they said. "It goes without saying doesn't it? Sustainable plantation paper ... ECF processing ... vegetable-based inks. We don't beat the drum about it, that's just the way it is these days." We feel the same way, but we're regularly asked the same question, so here's Queensberry's philosophy on the environment and sustainability... Humanity's biggest impact on the environment is generally from our daily practices. That coffee is gone To View More >>
