It's a huge ask to send your images to the other side of the world for printing.  But sometimes, for reasons that have little to do with the printing itself, we need really tight control to deliver you a good result. Duos are a prime example. The design and craft processes that allow us to integrate digital and matted pages, create split mats etc are intensive and very demanding. To View More >>

"Previously we were offering albums we knew our competitors were also offering, but we’ve realised we can use the album to separate us from our competitors." That quote from Nigel's interview with the Youngrens reflects Queensberry's key message to photographers and it got me thinking... A while ago I posted about album companies in trouble – and not hitching your own wagon to dying stars. There are dozens of album design tools on the market, and almost none of them can be used to free-design matted albums. The exceptions are PJ and two others. A few more have workarounds where you drag and drop images on to templates that match pre-designed mats ... but that's hardly creative. Why do so few programs have this ability? First, it's quite hard. ;) Hard to create a layout on the fly, and simultaneously capture all the data to create both the prints and the mat. And hard, when you've got the data, to ensure that the resulting layout meets all the album vendor's requirements ... and To View More >>

Well, we made Photojunction free ... now what? After yesterday's new final we're finalising the development schedule for the next few months. It's always been our goal to make Photojunction the software of choice for wedding and portrait photographers, and we really appreciate the support we get from the thousands of photographers who use it. But we do also recognise that there are four areas where people struggle, or where we can see strong opportunities for improvement. 1, While most people fly through the set up procedure, some people struggle. Maybe it doesn't work as they expect, and therefore To View More >>
